Ist December'1990 was the most precious and important day for us. Our
daughter Madhura entered our home. We were excited and delighted with
her sweet smile and brown, round big mischievious eyes. She made our house
a real home. She was acceptepted very gracefully and happily by all our
friends, relatives, neighbours and by the entire society. I was working
for State Bank of India then. But soon after few days, I resigned from
the bank because I did not want to miss watching my child growing. We
kept her name "Madhura".
Madhura was only 20 days old when she came home. Soon she started crawling,
sitting, standing and talking.
On her first Birthday she was running everywhere and was shaking hands
with everybody saying "thanku". When she started talking, she used to
add "di" at the end of all the words. She still calls us "Mamadi" and
"Papadi".

We
feel very happy when we hear those words from her, our unique child.
When she started going preprimary school, we received many notes about
her mischieves from her teachers. But we were very happy because we always
wanted a naughty, mischievious and active child. Now our honey is 10 years
old, studding in Fr Agnel School in Stdandard five. She is excellent in
her studies. She is taking keen interest in all sphres of life. She is
very good at many extra curricular activities such as skating, dancing,
playing musical instruments.

But on all above this is she who has made us "parents" a "mother" and
a "father". She has made our life worth living. She gives me an experience
of heavenly joy when she hugs and kisses me. She has added meaning to
our everything and given fulfillment to us. I do not want to recollect
my life before Madhura had come to our lives. We used to curse God and
feel guilty for beng childless. Madhura has proved that she is the key
of our lifelong happiness.
Today as she is 10, she knows about her being an adopted child and feels
proud of herself. She considers herself as very special child. She has
given me an experience of motherhood. I often remember a mrathi song which
says:
"How do I thank you my child? It is because of you that I have become
a mother"
